QA Engineer

Cargofy is building the AI-native operating system for global freight. Cargofy deploys autonomous AI agents that automate procurement, dispatching, negotiations, operations, tracking, and workflows for carriers, shippers, and 3PLs across the US, Europe, and Asia. Our platform processes 100,000+ loads per day and hundreds of thousands of real-time events. Every release touches live shipments.

We need a QA Engineer who combines manual testing with automation. You will be the only QA in a team of 7 engineers, so you set up the process yourself: what we test, how, on which data, and what gets automated first. Nothing ships to production without your sign-off.

What You Will Do

• Write test cases and checklists for features from the task tracker and run them on staging before every release
• Own the regression suite across the web app, API, workflows, AI agents, and integrations
• Automate critical flows: E2E tests with Playwright or Cypress, API tests, runs in CI
• Set up test accounts, seed data, and sandboxes for calls, SMS, and email. No testing on live client data
• Reproduce bugs reported by Customer Success and clients, file them with steps, priority, and owner, and verify fixes
• Smoke test production after each deploy
• Build regression for AI agents together with engineers: scenario datasets, expected behavior, runs after every prompt or workflow change
• Use Claude Code or Codex to turn a task description into test cases, seed data, and automation faster than writing it by hand

Tech Stack

• Product: Laravel backend, Vue.js 3 frontend, REST APIs, Odoo, LLM-based agents (voice calls, email, Telegram, SMS)
• Testing: Playwright or Cypress, JavaScript/TypeScript, Postman or similar, SQL, GitHub Actions
• AI tooling: Claude Code, Codex, or similar agentic coding tools are part of the daily workflow, not an experiment

Who You Are

• 2+ years in QA of web products, including automation on a real project
• Solid manual testing: test design, edge cases, regression, bug prioritization
• Comfortable writing and maintaining E2E and API tests in JavaScript or TypeScript
• You work with Claude Code, Codex, or a similar AI coding agent every day: generating test cases and test data, writing and refactoring autotests, triaging logs. You can show how you use it
• SQL for data checks, reading logs, basic Git and CI
• Clear bug reports and the autonomy to decide what to test first
• English for documentation and written communication

Nice to Have

• Testing LLM products, chatbots, or voice agents: evals, non-deterministic output, hallucinations
• Load testing (k6, Locust) or security testing
• Experience with Laravel, Vue, or Odoo
• Logistics, TMS, freight, or another document-heavy domain
