Forward Deployed Engineer

Cargofy is building the AI-native operating system for global freight. Cargofy deploys autonomous AI agents that automate procurement, dispatching, negotiations, operations, tracking, and workflows for carriers, shippers, and 3PLs across the US, Europe, and Asia. Our platform processes 100,000+ loads per day and hundreds of thousands of real-time events — replacing manual logistics with fully autonomous AI.

We need a Forward Deployed Engineer to work directly with our largest customers — deploying, customizing, and scaling Cargofy AI platform inside their operations. You are the technical bridge between our product and the real world of freight logistics.

Our enterprise customers operate complex logistics workflows with unique integrations, data flows, and business rules. They need a hands-on technical partner who can make Cargofy indispensable inside their operations — fast. You will be that partner.

What You Will Do

• Deploy and configure Cargofy for enterprise customers — remotely or on-site at their operations centers
• Build custom integrations with customer systems: ERPs (SAP, Oracle, Odoo), TMS platforms (MercuryGate, TMW, McLeod), ELD providers, and load boards
• Translate complex logistics workflows into platform configurations, automations, and AI agent setups
• Debug production issues in real-time — when a carrier dispatch system goes down at 2am, you ensure Cargofy keeps their freight moving
• Work closely with Product and Engineering to feed real customer needs back into the roadmap
• Build reusable tooling, scripts, and deployment playbooks to accelerate future customer launches
• Own technical relationship with key accounts — you are their trusted engineer

Who You Are

• 3-7+ years as a software engineer, solutions engineer, or technical consultant
• Strong in at least one of: PHP/Laravel, Python, Node.js, or Vue.js
• Comfortable with APIs, databases, webhooks, and system integrations
• Experience with ERP or logistics systems (Odoo, SAP, TMS platforms) is a strong plus
• Excellent communicator — you can talk to both senior engineers and logistics operators on a warehouse floor
• Thrive in ambiguity, fast-moving environments, and high-stakes customer situations
• Willing to travel occasionally for key customer deployments
